Golden State Foods looked at numerous location options throughout the southwest over an 18-month search and determined that Burleson was the best choice. The decision was made due to the EDC’s compelling economic incentive package, investments made in the local workforce, and the professionalism and commitment to the community that the Burleson EDC demonstrated.

“We are thrilled to be able to soon call Burleson home. There were many options in the Southwest, but Burleson was the best choice for us," said John Maguire, Vice President of Golden State Foods, "The Burleson team were such great partners with their professionalism, compelling economic incentive package, investments in the local workforce and overall commitment to the community that they rapidly became our preferred choice. We’re looking forward to becoming an active part of this fine community.”

The company established its 48th facility in Burleson’s Highpoint Business Park in January of 2020 and has more than 130 employees. It currently occupies a 200,000 square-foot facility, with the potential to expand to almost 300,000 square feet, and is projected to employ 150 employees by the fifth year of operations.
