There’s always something fun to do in Burleson, whether it’s shopping, dining and catching a show in Old Town, youth and adult sporting activities and events, hiking and biking on city trails, or touring the historic Russell Farm. Burleson also hosts a number of other annual events, from craft fairs and egg hunts to Independence Day fireworks and Christmas Parade.

Hidden Creek Golf Course

As the city-owned and operated golf course, Hidden Creek provides the City of Burleson’s citizens and property owners with a high-quality golf experience at a reasonable price. It is also a popular venue for corporations and charities to host golf outings and raise money. The course features a pro shop, practice facilities, and bar and grill. 

Youth and Adult Sports

Chisenhall Fields is a great place for family fun. It boasts 65+ acres for youth baseball, softball and football games. Amenities include ten baseball fields, five softball fields, two practice fields, two concession facilities, and one football field with permanent parking for 621 cars and approximately 350 spaces of overflow parking.

Less than a mile from Chisenhall Fields, Hidden Creek Sports Complex is the home for Burleson’s adult athletic leagues. The 24-acre park currently boasts three 325-foot well-maintained softball fields, restrooms, and a full service concessionaire. 

Both sports complexes are available for rent for events.

Russell Farm

The Russell Farm Art Center is a unique, historic facility that offers the public a glimpse into the past as well as contemporary art work. Built in 1877, the farm and buildings contain a number of historical artifacts and works of art, including work from the renowned artist, Charlie Boren, who previously owned and then later donated the property to the city. Russell Farms hosts a variety of community events throughout the year, including an Easter Egg Hunt and Christmas at the Farm. The facilities at the farm are available for rent.

For the outdoor enthusiast, there’s plenty to do in Burleson. Enjoy the day hiking and biking along our 22 miles of trails, take the kids to the playground, or catch a sporting event at one of our many parks. You can play a round on one of our scenic golf courses, catch some catfish at Bailey Lake, or camp out and take in some family fun at North Texas Jellystone Park. As you can see, there’s an outdoor activity for everyone in Burleson.

Burleson Recreation Center (BRiCk)

The Burleson Recreation Center is a full-service gym/natatorium and headquarters of the Burleson Parks & Recreation Department. The facility offers numerous aquatic programs, including indoor and outdoor pools with water aerobics/fitness and learn-to-swim programs and a fully-equipped gym with a pickleball ball court, boulder/rock wall, track, and more.

Burleson Rec Center

As a vital part of the community, the center also hosts special events and festivals throughout the year, offers facility rentals, and provides youth and adult activities for the community, ranging from team sports and camps to dance, Tae Kwon Do, and women's self-defense.
